Paulus Kirchhof is Director of the Department of Cardiology at the University Heart and Vascular Center UKE Hamburg and holds a part-time position as Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Birmingham. He studied Medicine in Heidelberg, Lille, Georgetown, and Münster. After graduating, Professor Kirchhof learned and practiced cardiology at the University Hospital Münster. He worked in Birmingham from 2011 until moving to Hamburg in 2020. Professor Kirchhof researches translational mechanisms and management of cardiovascular diseases, especially arrhythmias and heart failure. He is a highly cited researcher, an enthusiastic teacher and a mentor for cardiologists and cardiovascular researchers.

He holds a degree in medicine and electric engineering. During his career, he worked as a clinical researcher on numerous health innovation (pharma, medtech, health IT, AI) projects. He is a key expert on eHealth and integrated care for various governments on different continents, NGO’s, multi-nationals and start-ups.

Wiktor Rynowiecki supervises development, rolllout and maintainance od P1 Platform, based on which services such as e-Prescription, e-Refferal, EHR exchange and Internet Patient’s Account are deployed. Additionally, he is responsible for digitalization od public blood service, under which e-Health Centre develops modern, centralized platform to support processes for blood donation centres, hospitals and blood donors. His professional career started in telecommunication sector. Between 2010 and 2018 he managed large-scale projects in polish branch of Raiffeisen Bank and PKO BP. He was employed at e-Health Centre in September 2018. He graduated from Warsaw University of Technology, faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, and Warsaw School of Economics, faculty Management.

Hans Erik Henriksen is CEO of Healthcare DENMARK. Healthcare DENMARK is a public-private partnership organization, with a national mandate to promote Danish healthcare solutions and competencies abroad. The partnership is a framework for linking international partners with efficient Danish solutions and does not represent individual companies.

He has a solid healthcare background from different executive positions during the latest 20 years.

He was CEO of the innovative Danish healthcare-ITcompany Cetrea, which during 2008-2012 was established as a leading provider of solutions to the Danish market and during the same period accessed markets in other Nordic countries, Germany, Netherlands and USA.

Before joining Cetrea, he was responsible for IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences in the Northern and Eastern part of Europe (the countries U.K., Ireland, South Africa, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Nordic Countries and Central and Eastern Europe).

Since 2008 he has also been engaged as board member in a number of different healthcare and healthcare-IT companies. During 2012 he was amember of the Danish Governments Growth team for Healthcare and welfaresolutions.

Michael is a respected international consultant in health informatics and eHealth strategy and systems and has worked on the largest of eHealth programmes around the World including NHS England, for the Supreme Council of Health - Qatar, Queensland Health - Australia, the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in Singapore developing an integrated care model and national EMR strategy for the Singapore Ministry of Health, and most recently with the Samoan Ministry of Health on a national eHealth programme financed by the Asian Development Bank and subsequently for the Philippines MoH and China.

Michael has spent his entire career in the information technology domain with the last 15 years dedicated to working on large and complex eHealth programmes around the globe. He was professor of business information systems on the Webster MBA programme at Regents College, Inner Circle, Regents’ Park, London (now located in Oxford) from 1992 - 2008.

Michael has delivered multiple advanced eHealth strategies and programmes for national Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Hospitals and Primary Healthcare systems, Pathology Modernisation and Diagnostic Imaging programmes as well as Integrated Care strategies, Clinical “Best Practice” integration, Decision Support, Telemedicine (NCD’s, Chronic Disease Management) and Healthcare Analytics.

He is the former Head of Programme for the London & Southern Clusters of the NHS England Connecting for Health Programme – National Programme for IT (NPfIT) (2004-2008) covering some 20 Million UK citizens.

Michael is a member of the WHO Digital Health Technical Advisory Group (DHTAG) Roster of Experts, an assessor for the BCS for FEDIP Registrations & Former Associate Vice Chair of the Health & Care Executive of the British Computer Society.

His current research in the field of chronic disease via his company Care Innovations Corporation which represents a major step forward in cost effective, high quality care.

Dr. Patricia Ex is managing director of the German Managed Care Association. Dr. Ex started her career as research associate to the former German Federal Minister of Health and vice president of the Parliament, Ulla Schmidt. She advised diverse stakeholders as (Senior) Consultant of an agency for health care politics and led the Berlin office of a specialist physician group. She received her doctorate in Public Health for studies on the reimbursement and diffusion of health care innovations at the Technical University of Berlin with a research visit at UC Berkeley.
